Temple of Luxor, Luxor
The second temple we visited in Luxor was the Temple of Luxor, a few kilometres south of the Temple of Karnak. Known as ipet resyt in the Egyptian language, the temple was dedicated to the Theban triad of Amun, Mut and Chons.
The temple is famous for its huge pylons (built by Ramesses II) and the huge columns which end with the shape of papyrus plant.
